Chemistry I Honors is a rigorous, inquiry- based course that examines matter and the changes it undergoes. This course is an introduction to the fundamental principles of Chemistry.

 

Topics will include physical and chemical properties of the elements, atomic and molecular structure of elements, properties of solids, liquids and gases, chemical stoichiometry, chemical reactions and equilibria, solutions and an introduction to thermodynamics.

The laboratory work emphasizes physical-chemical measurements and calculations.
